Luxury Camping and Fly Fishing in Montana
Moonlight Basin, a great little ski resort in Big Sky, Montana, has a unique luxury camping and fishing trip this summer. You can check it out at their website.
Here’s what they say about it:
Guests enjoy access to blue-ribbon trout fishing, an unforgettable dining experience and attention to every detail while staying in beautifully furnished, riverside cabins.
Nice.
Geotechnical What???
Came across this site while stumbling today. I don’t really understand what all they do, but reading about some of the projects it seems like a cool field to be in. Check them out at waigeo.com. The slope stability stuff sounds crazy, there is a road they worked on that has moved 20 feet since the 1950’s! Damn!
Harvard Law: ‘Universities Should Tell the RIAA to Take a Hike’
The authors point out that Harvard’s charter calls for “The advancement of all good literature, arts, and sciences; the advancement and education of youth in all manner of good literature, arts, and sciences; and all other necessary provisions that may conduce to the education of the … youth of this country….” No where in this charter does it state an obligation to protect and enforce the interests of private commercial entities of this country and nor should it.
It’s great to see such an influential organization take a stand against one of the worst corporate entities in the country.
Snowmass Village
Snowmass is a fun family resort. They have a good variety of terrain, from beginner to expert, and in fact host some extreme competitions here too. You can find out more on the official page and the squidoo page. Summer is fun there too, with lots of concerts and other fun events.

Travel Nursing
A good friend is in the process of becoming a nurse and wondered about travel nursing opportunities out there. I did some digging and found a couple of pages I’ll share here.
Nurses with Purpose has a MySpace page and a cool website. I also found this Squidoo page about nursing and also this blog. Seems like a cool career to get into.

When Bears Attack!
Jesse and Lewis had been hiking all day with heavy packs across the wide open tundra. It was towards the end of the day when they saw a HUGE grizzly bear standing up on its hind feet about 300 meters away.
Even a Caveman Can Climb Everest: No Responsible Buddhist Would Condone It
Corporate media ignore Tibetan, Chinese and Nepalese objections to continued spiritual and environmental degradation of the world’s most famous mountain. Plus: is climbing “Mount Everest” really an accomplishment anymore? With guides, oxygen and lots of money, any idiot can do it, camera crew in tow.
