Geotechnical What???

Came across this site while stumbling today. I don’t really understand what all they do, but reading about some of the projects it seems like a cool field to be in. Check them out at waigeo.com. The slope stability stuff sounds crazy, there is a road they worked on that has moved 20 feet since the 1950’s! Damn!

Harvard Law: ‘Universities Should Tell the RIAA to Take a Hike’

The authors point out that Harvard’s charter calls for “The advancement of all good literature, arts, and sciences; the advancement and education of youth in all manner of good literature, arts, and sciences; and all other necessary provisions that may conduce to the education of the … youth of this country….” No where in this charter does it state an obligation to protect and enforce the interests of private commercial entities of this country and nor should it.

It’s great to see such an influential organization take a stand against one of the worst corporate entities in the country.
